Workshop tuition

Richard can deliver four pre-planned workshops in the professional use of Vectorworks for garden design.

Online Mentoring

Many designers prefer one-to-one support via Zoom or Skype, with recordings. These can focus solely on your individual needs, be project led, or can go through the whole Vectorworks design process.

Professional Models and 3D Imagery

If you require a template setting up, or a Title Block creating to your bespoke needs, then we can do it. You may want to subcontract the 3D modelling and creative visuals to us too – we are happy to take on all aspects of Vectorworks.

Vectorworks Handbooks

Richard has written the handbooks for each workshop, and they have been updated with each new Vectorworks iteration. Together they constitute a fantastic resource in the how to use Vectorworks. They are written in easy to understand language, with clear illustrations throughout.

Who am I?

I’m Richard Easton, Garden Designer, Horticulturist, Lecturer, Artist. I have decades of experience in garden design, wrote and taught degree qualifications in garden design and have years of experience in delivering quality tuition and support in all things Vectorworks.

FAQ

What workshop options do I have?

There are four workshops tailored to the specific professionalism of garden design. Each has been developed over many years. If you have basic 2D skills in Vectorworks then bespoke support can check your skills and then we can proceed with further workshops thereafter.

Can you support me with an ongoing project?

Absolutely, yes. Much of the mentoring we do is one-to-one support with designers on one of their professional projects.

Are handbooks available for the use of Vectorworks?

Yes. Each workshop has an associated handbook available to purchase as a PDF document. They have been carefully collated and are written in plain English with clear illustrations.

What computer do I need?

Either a Mac or PC. Check out the Computer requirements on our Services page.

Which version of Vectorworks do I need?

Vectorworks Landmark. I will be using the most up to date version, but any from the past couple of years or so should still be good.

Can you provide support in person?

Yes, in the UK. Contact us for details.

You are based in the UK, can I still take one of your workshops?

Absolutely, yes. We have worked with designers in Australia, the US and Europe. Of course we are limited to Zoom or Skype sessions, but so long as you have sound English language there is no problem.

Can you create a Vectorworks template and title block for me?

Yes. Once you have a template with bespoke title block (including your logo), your workflow will will become streamlined, saving you time for the work of design.

Can you create my 3D model and associated graphics, such as perspective details and section/elevation drawings?

Yes, we work with designers on all aspects of their projects, supporting them in whatever area they require. Contact us now for more information.

Are you employed by or affiliated to Vectorworks or Nemetscheck?

No. Richard has used Vectorworks for many years and has chosen this as the best CAD programme for garden designers. Everything you require is in the programme; with its extensive library files, Vectorworks dispenses with the need for expensive extensions/ plugins.
